Transfer of kanamycin resistance mediated by plasmid R68.45 in Paracoccus denitrificans.

Plasmid R68.45 mediates the transfer of kanamycin resistance from Pseudomonas aeruginosa to Paracoccus denitrificans. Kanamycin resistance could be transferred from one strain of P. denitrificans to another, thus opening up the possibility of using R68.45 as a sex factor in P. denitrificans.[1]
