Bilateral ureteral obstruction due to uric acid stones in association with immune hemolytic anemia.

Bilateral ureteral obstruction from uric acid stones developed in a patient with severe autoimmune hemolytic anemia at a time of hemolytic crisis. She had an underlying lymphoma that was clinically inapparent. Patients with severe autoimmune hemolysis should be considered at risk for complications related to excess uric acid.[1]
