Both N-acetylcysteine and 2,4-dichloro-6-phenylphenoxyethylamine markedly reduced the extent of hepatocellular plasma membrane damage induced by paracetamol, yet neither agent prevented the activation of phosphorylase a nor the depletion of glycogen [1].
In addition, CH-induced lipid peroxidation catalyzed by control-microsomes and pyrazole-microsomes was reduced significantly by 2,4-dichloro-6-phenylphenoxyethylamine, a general cytochrome P450 inhibitor [2].
4. Cytochrome P450 inhibitors, 2,4-dichloro-6-phenylphenoxyethylamine, 7,8-benzoflavone, and n-octylamine largely inhibited metabolism in guinea pig, but had little effect in rat [3].
