Disease relevance of SULBACTAM

Prospectively, 225 patients were randomized in a double-blind fashion to receive either clindamycin or ampicillin sodium/sulbactam sodium for prevention of postoperative wound infection [1].
The efficacy of sulbactam sodium (CP45,899-2) was investigated using the chinchilla animal model of acute otitis media with effusion (AOME) [2].
