Disease relevance of Bimolin

Experience with moroxydine hydrochloride and rifampicin in the treatment of primary herpetic gingivostomatitis [1].
Because of the side-effects of phenformin, we studied the effect of a phenformin-like substance: moroxydine chloride (Kabi 1886), which unlike phenformin, does not cause lactic acidosis [2].

Analytical, diagnostic and therapeutic context of Bimolin

Determination of moroxydine in biological fluids by electron-capture gas chromatography [3].
Administration of specific antiherpes immunoglobulins and of the chemotherapeutic drug Flumidin to cases with positive immunofluorescence reactions led to improvement of the symptoms and even to clinical recovery [4].
