YB-1 and PABP binding sites have been mapped on the YB-1 mRNA regulatory element [1].
Alteration of translation and stability of mRNA for the poly(A)-binding protein during myogenesis [2].
This observation suggests that the reduced steady-state level of PABP mRNA in myotube were largely due to the change in stability of this mRNA during myogenesis [2].
The PABP mRNA was less abundant in myotubes compared to myoblasts [2].
In addition to the poly(A)-binding protein, the polysome fractions contained a 74 kilodalton protein that was present in all subclasses of particles [3].
