In support of the view that these genes function in the same pathway, we find that tbx-8 and tbx-9 are both necessary and sufficient for vab-7 expression [1].
The expression pattern of tbx-8 is markedly similar to that of tbx-9 [2].
Caenorhabditis elegans T-box genes tbx-9 and tbx-8 are required for formation of hypodermis and body-wall muscle in embryogenesis [2].

Biological context of Brachyury
