High impact information on kin-29

We show that KIN-29 acts cell-autonomously and non-cell-autonomously in sensory neurons to regulate chemoreceptor expression, body size, and the dauer decision, suggesting that kin-29 function is essential for the correct acquisition and transduction of sensory information [1].
Moreover, both calcineurin and kin-29 mutants exhibit similar phenotypes, namely small body size, small brood size, and slow growth [2].
Here we describe specific genetic interaction between tax-6 and kin-29 in regulating body size, serotonin mediated egg laying, and chemoreceptor expression [2].
We show that kin-29 is epistatic to the ligand dbl-1, and lies upstream of the Sma/Mab pathway target gene, lon-1 [3].
Rescue by kin-29 is achieved by expression in neurons or in the hypodermis [3].
