While RELMgamma (approved symbol retnlg) is expressed in rat white adipose tissue, minute to no expression of RELMalpha was detected in that system [1].
Mouse Cebpe and Retnlg were predictably expressed in macrophages, whereas Retn was abundant in adipocytes [2].
Its transcriptional and functional similarity with the murine myeloid-specific and CCAAT/enhancer binding protein epsilon (Cebpe)-dependent gene, resistin-like gamma (Retnlg), is unexplored [2].
