The two T kininogen (T) mRNAs considerably increase under acute inflammation conditions, although no such increase occurs in the high molecular weight and low molecular weight K kininogen (K) mRNAs encoded by the same gene [1].
Strain-specific deletions in exon 10 of rat K-kininogen and T1-kininogen genes allow mapping of both genes to rat chromosome 11 [2].
To test the effect of T-KG on fibroblasts exposed to exogenous T-KG, we purified the protein from the serum of K-kininogen-deficient Katholiek rats [3].
