Dominant negative mutants of GATA-4 suppress cyclin D2 expression and cell growth, indicating that GATA-4 activation regulates PASMC proliferation [1].
After GnRH treatment, granulosa cells, but not theca cells, exited the cell cycle, expression of cyclin D2 was reduced, and p27(Kip1) was elevated [2].
E2 also increased the percentage of cells progressing from G1 to S phase of the cell cycle, and increased expression of cyclin D2 protein and the cell proliferation marker Ki67 [3].
