We have tested the role of various segments of the regulatory region in autoinhibition by the analysis of a series of truncation, substitution, and deletion mutants of the CaM kinase II alpha subunit (CaM kinase II alpha) [1].
Northern blot analysis showed a transient increase in CaM kinase II alpha subunit mRNA in the cerebellum and spinal cord of DFP-treated chickens [2].
The difference in 125I-CaM binding to CaM-kinase II alpha subunit in the brain supernatants of control and DFP-treated hens was not altered by its phosphorylation or dephosphorylation [3].
