Conversely, in vitro binding of [125I]cyanopindolol (2-400 pM) to 5-HT1B receptor sites was increased in the GEPR-9 hippocampus, corpora quadrigemina and midbrain tegmentum when compared to nonepileptic control rats [1].
In the nucleus habenularis, the nucleus recessus lobus lateralis, the nucleus preglomerulosus pars medialis, and the tectum mesencephali isotocin fibers prevailed [2].
The quadrigeminal plate and pontine nuclei were the most severely and consistently affected structures, and immunoreactivity against PrP was seen in these structures [3].
A circadian pattern peaking in the dark described for GABA levels of the corpora quadrigemina which is partly-reversed by reversing the photoperiod [4].
