A study of the mechanism and kinetics of cyclooctene epoxidation catalyzed by iron(III) tetrakispentafluorophenyl porphyrin [1].
The formation of cyclooctene oxide, the only product, was determined by gas chromatography, and the consumption of hydrogen peroxide was determined by (1)H NMR [1].
Telechelic homopolymers of cyclooctene derivatives end-functionalized with hydrogen-bonding or metal-coordination sites are formed through the combination of ROMP with a corresponding functional CTA [2].
Highly dispersed palladium nanoparticles supported on carbon nanofibers, which show high catalytic activity and stability in the hydrogenation of cyclooctene, were synthesized by the two-step metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) of allylcyclopentadienylpalladium (Pd(allyl)Cp) as precursor at atmospheric pressure [3].
The obtained materials were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, UV-vis, and electron paramagnetic resonance and investigated in the oxidation reaction of cyclooctene and cyclohexane using iodosylbenzene as oxidant [4].

We also synthesized two more isomers, namely 5, 6, 7, 8-tetrahydro-3, 10-dimethoxy-1, 2, 11, 12-bismethylenedioxy-6, and 7-cis-(and trans-) dimethyldibenzo (a, c) cyclooctene (12A and 16A) [5].
