Disease relevance of Dynll1

RESULTS: Dietary supplement of celecoxib at doses of 400 ppm, 600 ppm, and 1,000 ppm are most effective against mPIN (mouse prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia) and adenocarcinoma of the prostate [1].
Using monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) to the serovar L1 type-specific epitope on the major outer-membrane protein of Chlamydia trachomatis as our model in conjunction with the Pin Technology Epitope Scanning technique, we had previously identified the critical binding site at this epitope as DAVP [2].

The negative regulatory effect of Pin1 was observed both in cell lines and in Pin(-/-) mice and was found to be dependent on a functionally intact Btk [3].
In contrast the GB2 subunit, which does not bind GABA, has an heptahelical domain able to activate G-proteins when assembled into homodimers (Galvez, T., Duthey, B., Kniazeff, J., Blahos, J., Rovelli, G., Bettler, B., Prézeau, L., and Pin, J.-P. (2001) EMBO J. 20, 2152-2159) [4].
The data showed that Tctex-1 adopts a structure remarkably similar to that of the 8-kDa light chain of the motor complex (DLC8), although the two light chains share no amino acid sequence homology [5].
