High impact information on FZD7

Anatomical context of FZD7

  • To examine the role(s) of Wnt members and their transmembrane-spanning receptor(s), Frizzled (fz), we retrovirally misexpressed Wnt-5a, Wnt-7a, chicken frizzled-1 (Chfz-1), and frizzled-7 (Chfz-7) in long-term (21 day) high density, micromass cultures of stage 23/24 chick embryonic limb mesenchyme [4].

Other interactions of FZD7

  • Chick frizzled-1 (cFz-1) is expressed in the lens, otic placode and, along with cFz-7, in epibranchial placodes [2].
  • In addition, cFz-2 and cFz-7 are uniquely expressed in other cranial placodes, including the olfactory, lens, and otic placodes [2].
