High impact information on SULT1A1

  • Within this series, androstane-3,6,17-trione (E,Z)-3-(2-aminoethyl)oxime (22b, PST 2744) induced a strong positive inotropic effect while being less arrhythmogenic than digoxin, when the two compounds were compared at equiinotropic doses [1].
  • In the PST, PTH activated adenylate cyclase but PGE2 failed to do so [2].
  • Recently, three different enzymes have been cloned and characterized from canine liver, cSULT1A1, cSULT1B1 and cSULT1D1. cSULT1A1 being very similar to the human ortholog in terms of substrate specificity and is also ubiquitously expressed in canine tissues [3].
  • We measured or calculated end diastolic, end systolic, and stroke volumes (EDV, ESV and SV), fractional shortening (FS), ejection fraction (EF), the percentage of thickening of the septum and of the left ventricle posterior wall (PST and PWT), and the mean and maximal velocities of the left ventricle posterior wall (PWVm and PWVM) [4].

Associations of SULT1A1 with chemical compounds

  • Finally, the combined effects of PTH and PGE2 on Jv and Jl-b PO4 were also studied in the PST [2].
