RAR alpha and -gamma mRNAs detected in the four cell lines were variably regulated in response to RA, and no distinct patterns of RAR regulation that could be related to cell growth responses were observed [1].
MDCK cells expressed mRNA for retinoic acid receptor-alpha and retinoic acid receptor-beta constitutively, and neither was induced by retinoic acid, consistent with an advanced state of differentiation [2].
There was a deposition of electron-dense particles which were continuously distributed in the lamina rara interna and lamina densa of the glomerular basement membrane [3].
