Disease relevance of oxocalcium

  • All cases of toxic hepatitis in this plant developed after the change of the disposal process to thermochemical reaction-type treatment using unslaked lime reacted with industrial wastes [1].
  • Of the 199 evaluable patients, 100 had AML or myelodysplastic syndrome, 30 of which were ABO-incompatible, and 99 had CML, 35 of which were ABO-incompatible [2].
  • Calcium oxide and magnesium oxide inhibit plasma coagulation by Staphylococcus aureus cells at the lower concentration than zinc oxide [3].
  • All three bacteria were not greatly affected by CaO solutions at concentrations of 0.01 and 0.03%, however, the decline of E. coli (99%; 2.78 log10 CFU/mL), L. monocytogens (45%; 1.44 log10 CFU/mL), and S. typhimurium (70%; 2.08 log10 CFU/mL) was greatest when they were exposed to 0.05% CaO solution for 10 min [4].
  • TG patterns taken for the PVC-La(2)O(3) mixtures ground for different periods of time do not indicate significant weight loss in the range from 200 to 300 degrees C, and this suggests that La(2)O(3) is more effective additive than CaO in the MC decomposition for PVC [5].

High impact information on oxocalcium

  • Furthermore, although not statistically significant, survival studies raise the possibility of shortened survival in patients with RAS oncogene point mutations, with the average survival being 33 months for Ph1-/BCR- CML, 35 months for CMML without point mutations, and 11 months for CMML with RAS mutations [6].
  • A single-phase Si-HA was obtained by heating/calcining the as-prepared Si-Ap to temperatures above 700 degrees C; no secondary phases, such as tricalcium phosphate (TCP), tetracalcium phosphate (TeCP), or calcium oxide (CaO), were observed by X-ray diffraction analysis [7].
  • No crystallized Ca-P minerals were detected in the CaO-stabilized sludge, but brushite crystallization seemed to be obtained by low addition of Fe-sul and alum [8].
  • The results of this study provide evidence that CaO, as a substitute for synthetic chemical substances has potential for use in the disinfection and sanitization of foods and food processing equipment [4].
  • Study of resin-bonded calcia investment: Part 1. Setting time and compressive strength [9].
