AHP2 is required for bivalent formation and for segregation of homologous chromosomes in Arabidopsis meiosis [1].
We detected a specific interaction between ATHK1 and ATHP1 [2].
An Arabidopsis histidine-containing phosphotransfer (HPt) factor implicated in phosphorelay signal transduction: overexpression of AHP2 in plants results in hypersensitiveness to cytokinin [3].
The results of this study suggested that AHP2-overexpressing plants showed a characteristic phenotype of cytokinin-hypersensitive [3].
Yeast two-hybrid analysis and in vitro interaction studies suggest that ARR2 very probably forms part of a multistep two-component signalling mechanism that includes HPt proteins like AHP1 or AHP2 [4].
