Disease relevance of cheW

  • As all tested plant extracts generated chemotaxis, the possibility to attract cyanobacteria may be widespread in plants [1].
  • Furthermore, rice roots induced hormogonia in all tested Nostoc strains, but only Nostoc strain 9104 showed positive chemotaxis towards the root [2].
