Disease relevance of RPS11

High impact information on RPS11

Biological context of RPS11

  • The human RPL13A and RPS11 are 4236bp and 3254bp in length and comprise eight and five exons respectively, whereas the mouse Rps11 is 1951bp long and has five exons [6].
  • Although most genes are scattered over the chromosome, we found three genes are clustered in a 0.6-Mb region at 19q13.3 and two of them, RPL13A and RPS11, within a single cosmid only 4.3 kb apart [7].

Anatomical context of RPS11

  • The data used were derived from a 1343- to 1358-bp region of the plastid genome spanning the entire rpoA gene plus minor parts of the petD and rps11 genes and the two intergenic spacers surrounding rpoA [8].
