Disease relevance of H25

High impact information on H25

  • The mapping of the locus near Adprp was confirmed by finding an elevated stem cell frequency in B6.C-H25, a C57Bl/6 congenic strain that carries a portion of chromosome 1 derived from BALB/c mice [4].
  • 1. Inheritance and expression of T100 suggest that it is determined by an allele at a single locus, and testing of CXB recombinant inbred strains and B6.C minor histocompatibility congenic strains suggest that this locus is linked to H-25 [5].
  • After ribavirin treatment of H25 transgenic mice, the appearance of neutralization-resistant virus was prevented and virus was cleared [2].
  • ET-5 also fails to prime relevant congenic hosts to generate CTL specific for H-3 or H-25 minor H antigens, or major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I antigens, all of which are expressed in immunogenic form by ET-5 [6].
  • The B6.C-H-25c congenic strain, which carries a segment of BALB/c chromosome 1 including the minor histocompatibility locus H-25 on a C57BL/6By background, had the same endogenous SAP level as the BALB/c donor strain [7].

Biological context of H25

Analytical, diagnostic and therapeutic context of H25

  • CTL generated to multiple minor H loci (including H-1 and H-25) recognize two HPLC peptide fractions which are presented by H-2Db and H-2Kb class I molecules, respectively [9].
