Disease relevance of KIAA1715

  • LNP 509, which binds to I1Rs (Ki = 5.10(-7) M) but roughly not to alpha 2-adrenoceptors (A2Rs) (Ki > 10(-5) M), causes hypotension when injected alone into the brainstem [1].
  • Haemophilus caused LNP in 12% of patients [2].
  • Twenty-one percent of patients with CAP acquired an LNP (p < 0.025), in which Pseudomonas was the most common organism [2].

High impact information on KIAA1715

  • 5 Upon exposure to u.v. light, LNP 906 irreversibly blocked the binding of [125I]-paraiodoclonidine (PIC) to I1R, time- and dose-dependently, on PC12 cell membranes and interacted with I1R in a reversible and competitive manner in the absence of light [3].
  • 6 Finally, LNP 906 clearly antagonized the decrease in forskolin-stimulated cAMP level induced by rilmenidine, but not by melatonin [3].
  • Prior to fusion of the midfacial processes, bmp4 is expressed in the ectoderm of the LNP, MNP, and MxP in a distinct spatial and temporal manner near and at the site of fusion of the midface [4].
  • Among patients with CAD 11 showed a myocardial release of lactate during pacing (lactate producers, LP) while myocardial lactate extraction was unchanged in the remaining eight patients (lactate non-producers, LNP) [5].
  • In patients with CAD, (A-Cs) plasma citrate differences became increasingly negative during recovery from pacing, values at rest and at 3-5 min of recovery were: -5 +/- 2 mumol/l (mean +/- SD) vs. -12 +/- 5 mumol/l in LP (P less than 0.001) and -6 +/- 3 mumol/l vs. -8 +/- 4 mumol/l in LNP (P less than 0.01) [5].

Biological context of KIAA1715

  • It was shown that, when calculated by square centimeter of the decompression area, the effect of UBNP on central venous pressure (CVP) and pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) was 3-4 times greater than that of LBNP or LNP [6].

Associations of KIAA1715 with chemical compounds

  • Compounds, such as LNP 509, S 23515, S 23757 or benazoline with very high selectivities for IRs over alpha 2-adrenoceptors (A2Rs), became available recently [7].
