Disease relevance of DGAT2L4

High impact information on DGAT2L4

  • DNA sequences of four human class II histocompatibility antigen alpha chain DNA sequences (derived from cDNA and genomic clones representing DC1 alpha, DC4 alpha, DX alpha and SB alpha) are presented and compared to DR alpha and to mouse I-A alpha and I-E alpha sequences [3].
  • AWAT1 and AWAT2 have very distinct substrate preferences in terms of alcohol chain length and fatty acyl saturation [4].
  • Finally, we present evidence that of all the dicarboxylates tested only DC2-DC4 can be transported by the classical dicarboxylate carrier [5].
  • Consistent with expression profiling, functional assays demonstrated that DCAs were more potent stimulators of naive T-cell responses than DC4 in an interleukin 15 and interleukin 1beta-dependent manner [6].
  • DCA-mediated tumor cell-directed cytotoxicity induced apoptosis in different human tumor cell lines and internalized apoptotic bodies to a greater extent than DC4 [6].

Anatomical context of DGAT2L4

  • Lastly, in vitro priming experiments, using apoptotic cells or peptide as sources of Ag, showed that DCA drove the expansion of tumor peptide Ag-specific autologous CD8+ T cells to a greater extent than DC4 [6].
