Anatomical context of H2-Eb1

Associations of H2-Eb1 with chemical compounds

  • Sequence analysis of two independently isolated E beta k cDNA clones revealed that the E beta k molecule is identical to the E beta b molecule at the NH2-terminus [9].
  • The recombinant H-2 haplotype was designated bq5 and possesses the following alleles at individual loci of the H-2 complex: Kb A beta b A alpha b E beta b or q E alpha b or q Sb or q Dq Lq [10].
  • The replacement of the valine found at position beta 29 in E beta k with the glutamic acid found in E beta b results in a selective loss of pigeon cytochrome peptide but not moth cytochrome peptide binding to the resultant mutant E alpha E beta k molecule [5].

Other interactions of H2-Eb1

  • We show here that the E beta b gene is identical to the non-allelic A beta bm12 DNA sequence in the mutated region and suggest, therefore, that the E beta b gene was the donor sequence for this intergenic transfer of genetic information [4].

Analytical, diagnostic and therapeutic context of H2-Eb1

  • While expression of E alpha dE beta b is constitutive in A20-2J cells transfected with the E beta b gene, surface expression of E alpha dE beta b is detected in transfected macrophage cells only after treatment of cells with culture supernatants from concanavalin A (Con A)-stimulated T cells [1].
