Disease relevance of MGR

  • In 34 studies of 31 patients with diverse causes of neutropenia, measurements were made of the MGR comparing endotoxin response and differential counts of marrow aspirates coupled with estimates of absolute marrow mass derived from EIT rate [1].
  • To obtain a smaller reagent with possibly improved in vivo properties, a single chain variable fragment (scFv) of the original MGR6-producing hybridoma was generated by phage display technology [2].

High impact information on MGR

  • The segregation of MGR sequences in genetic crosses and hybridization of MGR probes to separated, chromosome-size DNA molecules of M. grisea shows that this family of sequences is distributed among the M. grisea chromosomes [3].
  • However, MGR sequences are not highly conserved in the genomes of M. grisea field isolates that do not infect rice [3].
  • We have named this family of DNA sequences "MGR" for M. grisea repeat [3].
  • Fusion of splenocytes from MINT5-immunised animals failed to produce MAb, whereas cell fusion was successful in generating a paratope-related MAb in the case of MGR6 [4].
  • The anti-MGR6 MAb-produced IdM6.4 inhibited the binding of MAb MGR6 on breast carcinoma cells, suggesting that it recognises an idiotope in or near the antigen combining site, and can be considered useful in the identification and purification of the Ab1 or its derivatives [4].

Biological context of MGR

  • Phylogenetic trees have been computed for a large set of randomly generated gene orders and two sets of mtDNA gene order data for different animal taxa with amGRP and with two standard approaches for solving the MGRP (GRAPPA-DCM and MGR) [5].

Anatomical context of MGR

  • The peak (PGR) and mean (MGR) gliding resistance of the middle finger flexor digitorum superficialis tendon were measured with the wrist in 0, 30, and 60 degrees of flexion and extension [6].
  • Four patients had decreased MGR assessed with hydrocortisone, but only one had reduced marrow nonproliferative neutrophil pool [7].
  • Neither MGR nor blood neutrophil count correlates significantly with nonproliferative neutrophil pool or the number of band and segmented neutrophils in the bone marrow [7].

Associations of MGR with chemical compounds

  • The MGR, the pool of band and segmented neutrophils from which sudden demands for extra blood neutrophils are met, has been studied by measuring blood neutrophil increments following administration of endotoxin, corticosteroids, or etiocholanolone [1].
