Biological context of Dixyrazine

Associations of Dixyrazine with other chemical compounds

  • In a prospective and randomized pilot study two antiemetic regimens comprising dixyrazine (240 mg) and metoclopramide (10 mg/kg) in high doses and given by continuous i.v. infusion were compared as means of preventing cisplatin-doxorubicin-induced nausead and vomiting [14].
  • Specific gravity was significantly higher in all of the studied brain regions in rats given tirilazad or NBQX than in those given vehicle or dixyrazine (p < 0.001) [15].

Gene context of Dixyrazine

  • The smallest dose of dixyrazine (12.5 mg) had no significant effect upon sleep pattern: the larger doses (25 mg and 50 mg) caused significant decreases in REM-sleep during the first nights of administration [16].
  • Pretreatment with dixyrazine 10 mg/kg completely prevented the brain oedema and significantly reduced the albumin increase in CSF [17].
