Disease relevance of ATP5A1

  • In this study we have refined the localization of two of these genes by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) to metaphase spreads, and further characterised the involvement of ATP5A in the amplification process in the retinoblastoma cell line Y79 [1].
  • Data on prevalence of antibody to hepatitis B surface antigen (anti-HBs) and of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) among 95 matched pairs of Down's syndrome (DS) and other mentally retarded (OMR) patients in an institution were analyzed by age on admission and by length of residence [2].
  • The infection rate amongst subjects with Down's syndrome (DS) was higher than amongst subjects with other forms of mental retardation (OMR), and more than 95% of infections in both groups were unrecognised [3].
  • The records of 49 patients with neurilemmoma in the neck and oral and maxillofacial region (OMR) were reviewed [4].
  • OMR and GAI were assessed in the patients with periodontitis after the initial treatment and at follow-up 1 year after completion of the full treatment, which almost always included surgical procedures [5].

High impact information on ATP5A1

  • Although their affinities were somewhat lower than their phenol prototypes, one compound (9a, ATPM) has been identified possessing high affinity and selectivity at the kappa receptor [6].
  • Sixteen healthy volunteers (14 genotypic extensive metabolizers and 2 poor metabolizers) were recruited who had a wide range of CYP2C19 activity (0.50-28.8), as determined by the omeprazole/ 5-hydroxyomeprazole ratio (OMR) at 3 hours following administration of omeprazole, 20 mg orally [7].
  • With increasing OMR (decreasing CYP2C19 activity), the ratio of flunitrazepam to both desmethylflunitrazepam and 3-hydroxyflunitrazepam AUCs increased ( r = 0.55, p = 0.03 and r = 0.65, p = 0.01, respectively) [7].
  • Male-biased mutation rates revealed from Z and W chromosome-linked ATP synthase alpha-subunit (ATP5A1) sequences in birds [8].
  • For both groups, the prevalence of hepatitis B (HB) infection (both anti-HBs and HBsAg) increased with length of residence and, overall, was nearly the same for DS and OMR patients [2].

Biological context of ATP5A1

Anatomical context of ATP5A1

  • OMR improved delineation of the head of the pancreas on T1-weighted images in 72% of subjects but was less useful in defining the body and tail [10].
  • The results indicate that the OMR reflects the existence of oral inflammation and can be used as a laboratory test with the same reservations as white blood cell counts for systemic inflammation [5].

Associations of ATP5A1 with chemical compounds

  • The distribution of seven genetic serum protein markers (PI, TF, GC, ORM, HP, C3, PLG) was analyzed in a sample of 291 individuals coming from the central and northern areas of Corsica, i.e. from Corte and Bastia [11].

Other interactions of ATP5A1

  • Clinical data capture: OMR and OCR and your flatbed scanner [12].

Analytical, diagnostic and therapeutic context of ATP5A1

  • Mapping of the clones of hATP1 and Southern blot analysis of the genomic gene showed that there were a single copy of bona fide hATP1 gene and two pseudogenes [9].
  • T1- and T2-weighted images of the upper abdomen and pelvis were obtained before and after oral administration of OMR at doses of 100-400 mg of iron in 300-600 mL of water [10].
  • The expression of OMR beta and LIFR beta was determined by RT-PCR [13].
  • The three vaccinations induced antibodies in 93.5% (90.9% in those with Down's syndrome (DS), 94.1% in other forms of mental retardation (OMR) of the vaccinees within 9 months after the first injection, and the percentage of geometric mean titers of antibody above 10 mIU/ml was 89.3% (81.8% DS, 84.3% OMR) within 9 months [14].
