Disease relevance of Il31ra

This element from both CRL3 and CR1 contained a single 30-bp sequence (direct repeat [DR]-B2) found in duplicate tandem copies in the LTR of the infectious RD-114 provirus [1].

High impact information on Il31ra

In monocytes and dendritic cells, expression of GPL was strongly up-regulated by interferon-gamma, indicating a possible involvement of GPL in Th1-type immune responses [2].
Transcripts were also found in blood cells and in bone marrow, revealing expression of GPL in all of the myelomonocytic lineage, from hematopoietic stem cells to activated dendritic cells [2].
Here we report the cloning of a novel type I cytokine receptor, gp130-like monocyte receptor (GLM-R), with homology to the interleukin-6 receptor signal transducing chain, gp130, and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor receptor [3].
