Disease relevance of Suction

• High-pressure suction drainage via a polyurethane foam in the management of poststernotomy mediastinitis [1].
• We treated these patients with aggressive sudden fibrosis with suction drainage and irrigation with methylprednisolone biweekly for 3 weeks [2].
