Associations of EEF1B2 with chemical compounds

  • In human fibroblasts, the guanine nucleotide exchange part of EF-1, EF-1 beta gamma delta, was found to co-localize with the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), displaying a distinct fine-structure in its staining pattern [6].
  • The derived amino acid sequence, corresponding to a protein of 225 amino acids, shows a high degree of homology to elongation factor 1 beta (EF-1 beta) of Artemia salina (57%) and known peptide sequences of Xenopus laevis EF-1 beta (86%) [7].
  • Three forms of elongation factor 1 (EF1A, EF1B and EF1C) were isolated from wheat germ; the preparation obtained by successive chromatography on DEAE-Sephadex A-50, hydroxylapatite and Sephadex G-200 showed about 90% purity [10].
  • Results indicate that higher level of EF-1beta' expression is necessary for auxin- and zinc-induced root formation in rice [11].
  • Echinococcus allergens include (1) AgB 12-kDa subunit, a protease inhibitor and a potent Th2 inducer; (2) Ag5, a serine protease; (3) EA 21, a specific cyclophilin, with a homology with other types of cyclophilins; (4) Eg EF-1 beta/delta an elongation factor, with a homology with Strongyloides stercoralis EF that shares the same IgE epitope [12].

Physical interactions of EEF1B2

Other interactions of EEF1B2

  • Humans have a single intron-containing locus, EEF1B2, which maps to 2q33, and an intronless paralogue expressed only in brain and muscle (EEF1B3) [14].
  • In this report, we demonstrate that three components of EF-1H (EF-1 beta, EF-1 delta, EF-1 gamma) bind to DNA modified with chromium (Cr), a potent DNA-damaging agent and an established human carcinogen [15].
  • A polyvalent antiserum against EF-1 beta and two monoclonal antibodies against EF-1 gamma were used to identify the protein fragments in this core [16].
  • High temperature (35/30 degrees C) decreased the expression of Wx proteins, allergen-like proteins, and elongation factor 1beta, but increased the expression of small heat shock proteins (sHSP), glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase, and prolamin. sHSP was positively correlated with the appearance of chalky kernels [17].
