Disease relevance of DENR

  • The interaction of daunomycin (DAU), an anthracyclinic antibiotic employed as antitumoral agent, with microtubules, has been investigated by cytochemical and morphological methods on a human melanoma cell line (H14) [1].

Biological context of DENR

  • The evidence of haplotype sharing between castes and tribes is also found when the H14 lineage was further subdivided by five STR loci [11].
  • Two viruses with a novel hemagglutinin (HA), A/duck/Australia/341/83 and A/shearwater/West Australia/2576/79, have been isolated from a duck and a shorebird in Australia. Hemagglutination inhibition and double immunodiffusion assays failed to reveal cross-reactivity with any of the known subtypes (H1 to H14) [12].
  • The results show that the locus encoding the H2A protein in the H14 strain is formed by at least 11 gene units measuring 799 nucleotides in length, organized in tandem, and located in two chromosomes of approximately 1.9 and 1.1Mb in size [13].
