Disease relevance of POLR3K

  • Positron emission tomographic imaging was used to quantitatively compare regional perfusion, as assessed with nitrogen-13 ammonia, with myocardial retention of C-11 hydroxyephedrine early after myocardial infarction as well as > 6 months after the acute event [1].
  • C-11 hydroxyephedrine abnormalities were more extensive than those for blood flow assessed by semiquantitative polar map analysis (31 +/- 15% vs. 17 +/- 17% left ventricle; p < 0.05), particularly in five patients with non-Q wave infarction (31 +/- 11% vs. 3.5 +/- 2.5% left ventricle; p = 0.008) [1].
  • 98 patients undergoing allogeneic BMT for hematologic malignancies (n = 91) or aplastic anemia (n = 7) were monitored weekly for the expression of the lower matrix protein pp65 of cytomegalovirus (CMV) on peripheral blood cells (PB) and urine sediments (U) as detected by C10 and C11 monoclonal antibodies (Clonab, Biotest) and immunoperoxidase [2].
  • As a model we used tetanus p30 peptide (aa 947-967)-specific, noncytotoxic CD4+ T-cell clones (C11 and C31) [3].
  • Although both viruses were neutralized by antiserum to human serotype 3 the ALA rabbit rotavirus was minimally neutralized by antiserum to the C11 rabbit rotavirus [4].

High impact information on POLR3K

  • The Leydig cells from rat and human tissue showed specific immunofluorescence and immunoperoxidase staining in the cytoplasm upon incubation with a monoclonal antibody (C11) to the estrogen-regulated protein from MCF-7 cells [5].
  • Mutagenesis in C11 of two conserved residues, which are critical for the TFIIS-dependent cleavage activity of Pol II, is lethal [6].
  • Immunoelectron microscopy data suggested that C11 is localized on the mobile thumb-like stalk of the polymerase [6].
  • The phylogeny also suggests that independent evolution of specificity toward C11 substituents on glucocorticoids and C17 substituents on androgens and estrogens has occurred in Types 1 and 2 11beta- and 17beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases [7].
  • In the cytosol tumor samples the Mr 24,000 protein was detected by the Western blot technique using a monoclonal antibody (C11), while the presence of ER and PgR was studied by the one-point dextran-coated charcoal assay [8].

Chemical compound and disease context of POLR3K

  • RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: At the tested ratio between doxorubicin and C4/C11 (1:50), C4/C11 contributed significantly to the in vitro toxicity [9].
  • Growth performance at marker age was not significantly different among treatments except for a heavier 18-week body weight in the open-confinement group given sunlight only (DL) and, in the closed confinement, a better feed conversion in the 11 lx treatment (C11) than the 1 lx treatment (C1) at 22 weeks of age [10].
  • A double-tracer FDG and C-11 methionine scanning protocol has been suggested as very useful for the assessment of brain tumor [11].

Biological context of POLR3K

  • In contrast to normal HUVEC, in a spontaneously transformed endothelial cell line (C11) TNF stimulation failed to activate SphK and induced apoptosis as characterized by morphological and biochemical criteria [12].
  • The terminal base pair frays, and the 3'-terminal nucleotides, C11 and C12, are in equilibrium between 2'-endo and 3'-endo conformations [13].
  • However, when the non-alpha-satellite portion of ors12 was used as a probe, it positively identified the centromeric region of only six chromosomes, namely, B4, C11, D14, D24, E25, and E27, as well as that of a marker chromosome [14].
  • The hydrolysis reaction proceeds with exchange of the C11 formyl proton of (6R)-5,10-methenyltetrahydropteroyltetraglutamate, suggesting that the enzyme-catalyzed reaction occurs by the same C11 carbanion inversion mechanism as the nonenzymatic reaction [15].
  • The structure-activity relationship (SAR) profile of the nonintercalating C11 anilino azatoxin class follows the SAR of the (anilino)acridine family [16].

Anatomical context of POLR3K

  • A CD4+ T cell line and three T cell clones from the DR11+ healthy donor C11 were differentially stimulated by Dsg3 with L cells expressing one of several DR11 alleles [17].
  • A method utilizing thin-layer chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography, and mass spectrometry was developed for the quantification of C9, C10, C11, and C12 dicarboxylic acids in serum, urine, and feces of human volunteers and rats after oral administration of the acids [18].
  • A monoclonal antibody produced in the present study, alpha C11, stains both the cell bodies of this system in hypothalamus, with a punctate pattern, and varicose fibers in the various target areas [19].
  • An analysis of profiles of Feulgen hydrolysis curves has been carried out in two heterochromatic (B-15 and C-11) and one euchromatic (C-1) regions of polytene chromosomes of salivary glands of 66 day old Rhynchosciara americana larvae [20].
  • C-11 acetate washout-rate constants were significantly lower in the infarct territory than in the remote myocardium (p < 0.008) [21].

Associations of POLR3K with chemical compounds

  • [3H]Myristic acid analogs with oxygen for -CH2- substitutions at C4, C6, C11, and C13 are incorporated into cellular N-myristoylproteins, phospholipids, and neutral lipids produced by these three yeasts during exponential growth at 30 degrees C in complex media [22].
  • However, the C11 position shows a marked relative enrichment in the vernolic acid, implying that it plays a role in the epoxidase but not the desaturase mechanism [23].
  • The most important reaction for this class of steroids is the reversible C11 keto/beta-hydroxyl conversion between receptor-binding 11beta-OH steroids and the nonbinding 11-oxo compounds, carried out by 11beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases (11beta-HSDs) [24].
  • Simultaneous mutations of C11, C15, C242, and C243 (each to serine) eliminated >90% of CD151 palmitoylation [25].
  • Carbon-11 (C-11) hydroxyephedrine (HED) is a norepinephrine analogue that can be used for the noninvasive evaluation of neuronal integrity using positron emission tomography [1].

Analytical, diagnostic and therapeutic context of POLR3K

  • An unusual discontinuity in the pressure derivatives of C11 and C12 at 4.7+/-0.2 GPa corresponds to the pressure at which the onset of a magnetic ordering transition is observed by high-pressure Mössbauer spectroscopy and neutron powder diffraction [26].
  • Therefore, quantitative evaluation of myocardial oxidative metabolism and glucose metabolism, as derived by dynamic positron emission tomography with carbon-11 (C-11) acetate and F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose, was performed in nine healthy male volunteers [27].
  • Gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry analyses of methanolyzed lipidic extracts from tissues incubated with each probe revealed that all the cyclopropyl fatty acids were transformed into the corresponding 11-cyclopropylidene acids, except for compound trans-5 (5b), which was not desaturated at C11 [28].
  • The strategy features a highly convergent C10-C11 bond construction via 1,5-anti-selective aldol reaction and rapid assembly of the trisubstituted pyran subunit via Prins desymmetrization [29].
  • The serum-stimulated cell cycle was analyzed by fluorescence-activated cell sorting after double thymidine treatment; V10 progressed normally through the cell division cycle, but C9 and C11 cells accumulated continuously in G1 phase until 36 h after treatment [30].
