Gene context of Single-Blind Method

  • METHOD: This randomized, crossover, single-blind study compared osmotic, controlled-release oral system (OROS) MPH (Concerta) given q.d. to immediate-release MPH (Ritalin) given in equal doses t.i.d. on driving performance among six male ADHD-diagnosed adolescent drivers aged 16 to 19 years [35].
  • In a small, single blind study, we found that OT almost doubled sperm retrieval when compared with vehicle administration [36].
  • We conducted a retrospective single-blind study assessing the value of MRI in 44 children surgically treated for partial epilepsy, and correlated the MRI findings with the pathology in all cases [37].
  • In a pilot single-blind study, gamma-vinyl GABA, an enzyme-activated irreversible inhibitor of GABA-transaminase (GABA-T), was administered orally to 10 epileptic patients who were refractory to conventional anticonvulsant therapy [38].
  • The relative chronotropic and inotropic activity of preferential beta 1- and beta 2-adrenoceptor stimulation was investigated in seven healthy male subjects in a randomized within-subject, single-blind study [39].
